Son Goku (Let the battle begin) Figuarts Zero STARTune by Bandai Tamashii Nations - Dragon Ball Z 25 cm figure

A figure of Son Goku by Bandai Tamashii Nations

Son Goku is represented as he appears in Dragon Ball Z, during the Frieza saga. The composition refers to his arrival on Planet Namek, a key point in the manga and anime storyline involving Krillin, Son Gohan, Bulma and the conflict against Frieza's forces.

This interpretation focuses on Goku at the moment he exits the spacecraft, using a compact vignette composition to connect the character with the visual setting of the Namek arrival scene.

Scene composition

The Figuarts Zero STARTune format presents Son Goku as a fixed display figure integrated with environmental elements from the spacecraft. The sculpt includes the ship door, ramp, suspension details, gravity generator and seat as part of a vignette-style diorama.

The perspective of the spacecraft elements is arranged to create depth while keeping the scene readable from multiple viewing angles. The figure depicts Goku standing in his orange martial arts outfit, with sculpted folds on the clothing, belt details and a facial expression based on the scene from the series.

Sculpt and visual finish

The sculpt emphasizes the contrast between the character figure and the mechanical setting. Goku's hair, facial features, uniform folds and belt are modeled with defined contours, while the spacecraft components add angular and technical shapes around the display base.

The coloring follows the Dragon Ball Z animation style, with orange and blue tones for Goku's outfit and separate finishes for the ship elements. Gloss effects and brush-style paint applications are used to distinguish the different surface textures across the figure and diorama elements.
