The main One Piece figure ranges
The One Piece universe has inspired numerous figures dedicated to Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Sanji, Nami and the many characters encountered throughout the adventure. The different collections vary notably in format, level of finish and whether they are fixed-pose or articulated.
Among fixed-pose figures, One Piece Figuarts ZERO by Bandai Tamashii Nations are generally a more accessible range, featuring dynamic poses and numerous visual effects. Portrait.Of.Pirates by MegaHouse occupy a more premium position, with often larger figures, more elaborate finishes and several high-end collections, including the MAXIMUM editions.
For collectors who prefer articulated models, One Piece S.H.Figuarts by Bandai Tamashii Nations and Variable Action Heroes (V.A.H.) by MegaHouse offer two different approaches to articulated figures, notably through their different scales.
Collecting One Piece throughout the story
One of the distinctive features of One Piece is the constant evolution of its characters. Their outfits, weapons and sometimes their appearance change from one arc to another, while certain transformations result in very different representations of the same character.
Luffy can therefore be represented at different stages of his adventure or in forms such as Gear 4 and Gear 5. Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Robin and many other characters also have versions corresponding to a particular outfit, technique or moment in the story.
This variety makes it possible to build a collection around a character, a crew or a particular period, from Luffy's earliest adventures to more recent arcs such as Wano and Egghead.
Can different One Piece figure ranges be displayed together?
Yes, but their dimensions, proportions and styles can vary significantly. It is therefore preferable to group the different products by story arc to maintain a degree of visual consistency, particularly in terms of colours.
