What is Dragon Ball?
Dragon Ball is a manga created by Akira Toriyama, first published in 1984 in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. Inspired by the Chinese tale "Journey to the West", this manga quickly gained popularity.
In 1989, Toriyama evolved his hero Son Goku and created Dragon Ball Z. This new series explores Goku's origins, where he must face increasingly powerful enemies, including Vegeta, who becomes a central character in the story.
Later, Toei Animation produced two other series: Dragon Ball GT, where Son Goku and Vegeta reach the Super Saiyan 4 transformation, and Dragon Ball Z Kai, a revised version of Dragon Ball Z that stays truer to the original manga.
The Dragon Ball universe continues to expand with the release of two films: Battle of Gods in 2013 and Resurrection ‘F’ in 2015. These served as the basis for the new series Dragon Ball Super, which is adapted both as an anime by Toei Animation and as a manga by Toyotaro, under the supervision of Akira Toriyama. This series introduces the existence of twelve parallel universes, further enriching Son Goku's story.
To celebrate the franchise’s 40th anniversary, a new series titled Dragon Ball Daima was created. The storyline of this Dragon Ball Z spin-off, like Dragon Ball Super, ignores the events that took place in Dragon Ball GT.
The success of these series has naturally led to the commercialization of many related products. As a specialist in high-end collectible figures, you can find on our site Dragon Ball Z collectible figures, Dragon Ball GT collectible figures, Dragon Ball Super collectible figures... in short, all the must-have Dragon Ball collectible figures.

How to identify a genuine Dragon Ball collectible figure from a Bootleg?
With the rise of Asian online sales platforms, counterfeiting has become a major issue in the collectible figure sector. There are many bootleg (fake) versions of Dragon Ball collectible figures on the market, some better made than others. Besides depriving the license creators of revenue, the main problem is that these fakes are sometimes sold as official and authentic models to collectors.
Look for the Toei sticker
Licensed Japanese Toei products have a sticker (gold, silver, white, or purple). Some products imported into Europe may not have this sticker but will instead have a distributor’s sticker containing legal information and copyrights.
Check for the manufacturer’s logo and copyright on the Box
An official product's packaging always includes the manufacturer's logo and copyright information. If neither the logo nor the copyright is present, the item is undoubtedly a counterfeit.
Watch out for quality defects
Detail quality is crucial. An official collectible figure features refined finishes (although minor manufacturing defects may occur). If you notice major molding or painting flaws, be cautious.
Additionally, different parts should fit together perfectly without leaving significant gaps.
