Naruto S.H.Figuarts figures

Naruto S.H.Figuarts are articulated figures produced by Bandai Tamashii Nations. Made primarily from PVC and ABS, they focus on mobility and the ability to recreate poses and techniques seen in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Depending on the release, they include interchangeable hands and faces, weapons such as kunai, and effects representing techniques such as the Rasengan. The current range uses more recent articulation systems than the first S.H.Figuarts figures based on Naruto.

What is the difference between the older Naruto S.H.Figuarts and the new range launched in 2022?

Bandai Tamashii Nations relaunched its Naruto S.H.Figuarts collection in 2022 with Naruto Uzumaki -The Jinchuriki Entrusted with Hope-. The manufacturer itself presents this figure as a completely redesigned model using its latest articulation technologies. It measures approximately 14.5 cm and includes four faces, several hands, a kunai, a Rasengan and interchangeable crossed arms.

These are therefore not simply new editions of the older S.H.Figuarts: the current range is based on new sculpts, new articulation and revised proportions. Models released since 2022 should be regarded as a new generation of the collection.

What is a S.H.Figuarts NARUTOP99 Edition?

NARUTOP99 is the worldwide popularity poll organised to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Naruto anime. Some S.H.Figuarts have been adapted from new illustrations created by Masashi Kishimoto as part of this project.

These editions are not necessarily simple colour changes. Sakura Haruno NARUTOP99 Edition, for example, features new faces, interchangeable hair and the large axe shown in Kishimoto's illustration. The design of each NARUTOP99 Edition therefore depends on the character and the illustration that inspired it.

Can faces and accessories be exchanged between different Naruto S.H.Figuarts?

Sometimes, but this compatibility should not be considered systematic. Parts are designed for specific releases, and attachment systems can vary between characters or between different generations of figures.

Bandai explicitly states when an element is intended to be used with another S.H.Figuarts. It is therefore preferable to rely on the contents specified on the product page rather than assume that a face, hand or effect will be compatible with another figure.

Why do some figures include bonus parts for another character?

Bandai Tamashii Nations regularly uses bonus parts to gradually expand the display possibilities of the collection. Purchasing a new character can therefore add new options to a figure that has already been released.

The Obito Uchiha S.H.Figuarts, for example, includes a Naruto face in Sage Mode designed for use with the Naruto Uzumaki -The Jinchuriki Entrusted with Hope- S.H.Figuarts. The Ichiraku Ramen set also includes additional faces and hands intended for several separately sold versions of Naruto.

This system encourages the creation of more complete scenes and allows Bandai to add new expressions or situations to figures already present in a collection.

Naruto Figuarts ZERO figures

Naruto Figuarts ZERO are also produced by Bandai Tamashii Nations, but unlike S.H.Figuarts, they are fixed and non-articulated. Made primarily from PVC and ABS, they focus on sculpting, paintwork, dynamic poses and effects representing the characters' techniques. Bandai describes Figuarts ZERO as a range of static figures using its sculpting, colouring and visual-effects techniques.

What does Figuarts ZERO Kizuna Relation mean?

Kizuna means “bond” or “relationship” in Japanese. Kizuna Relation is a collection developed around one of Naruto's central themes: the bonds passed on between characters.

Bandai explains that this concept is materialised through a connection between the products. The sculpts, poses and effects are designed so that several figures work visually together when displayed side by side.

What does EXTRA BATTLE mean on a Naruto Figuarts ZERO?

EXTRA BATTLE is a Figuarts ZERO sub-range dedicated to particularly spectacular battle scenes. Bandai uses dynamic sculpts and large effects to recreate an attack or a specific moment from a confrontation.

The effects therefore often occupy a significant part of the composition.

What is the Figuarts ZERO STARTune range?

STARTune is a new Figuarts ZERO sub-range introduced by Bandai Tamashii Nations in 2026. Its concept is to offer figures integrated into small compositions resembling a diorama or vignette, with a viewpoint and environment specific to each character.

The first announced Naruto STARTune depicts Naruto Uzumaki in the -The Will to Hokage- version. The range uses the sculpting and painting techniques developed for Figuarts ZERO while aiming to create more narrative and immediately recognisable compositions.

Are older and newer Naruto Figuarts ZERO in the same scale?

Not necessarily. Figuarts ZERO is not a collection structured around a single scale. Bandai generally provides a height in millimetres rather than a specific scale.

The size depends greatly on the pose, character, base and effects.

Are the effects an integral part of the figure or can they be removed?

It depends on the model. On many Naruto Figuarts ZERO figures, the effects are directly integrated into the composition and form an important part of the sculpt.

It should therefore not be assumed that a Rasengan, chakra effect or Susanoo element can be removed. The possibility of disassembling certain parts must be checked for each specific release, and an element should never be forced if the instructions do not present it as removable.

Naruto G.E.M. Series figures by MegaHouse

G.E.M. Series are pre-painted fixed-pose figures produced by MegaHouse. The manufacturer presents them as a range of “high quality” figures dedicated to manga characters. They are not designed around articulation but instead focus on a predetermined pose, sculpting and paintwork. Depending on the release, a base or additional elements may be included.

What does G.E.M. mean at MegaHouse?

MegaHouse uses G.E.M. Series as the name of the range, but its current website does not provide a specific explanation of what the letters G.E.M. stand for. The manufacturer simply describes it as a collection of high-quality figures featuring popular manga and anime characters.

Do all Naruto G.E.M. figures follow the same scale?

No. G.E.M. now includes several very different formats, and MegaHouse does not present the Naruto collection as a range using a single scale.

What does G.E.M. Palm Size mean?

Palm Size refers to small G.E.M. figures designed around a format that fits approximately in the palm of the hand. Recent Naruto Shippuden models measure around 9 cm and generally depict the characters in calmer or more relaxed poses.

Naruto, Kakashi and Itachi have notably been adapted into this format. They are not articulated figures: they are small, pre-painted fixed sculptures supplied with their own bases.

What does G.E.M. GO! mean?

GO! is a G.E.M. series dedicated to the childhood of Naruto characters. The first model depicts Naruto as a child running through Konoha, followed by Sasuke and then Sakura.

Why do some G.E.M. figures have interchangeable parts while others are completely fixed?

G.E.M. does not follow a specification requiring the same accessories for every figure. Priority is given to the representation chosen by the manufacturer.

Some releases may therefore include alternate faces, arms or accessories when they allow for several interesting display options, while others are designed as completely fixed sculptures.

Are G.E.M. figures reissued by MegaHouse?

Yes, some releases are reissued, but this is not systematic. MegaHouse clearly identifies reissues in its catalogue with the Japanese term 再販, translated on its English website as “repeat” or sometimes “resale”.

A sold-out figure may therefore return to the market, but no future reissue is guaranteed.

Naruto Gals figures by MegaHouse

Naruto Gals is a collection of pre-painted fixed-pose figures produced by MegaHouse and dedicated to the female characters of Naruto Shippuden. Hinata, Sakura, Tsunade, Ino, Temari and Tenten are among the characters represented in the range. MegaHouse classifies Naruto Gals within its Gals Series family, dedicated to female characters from different licences.

The figures focus on sculpting, outfits and character presentation rather than articulation or interchangeable accessories. Several variants and new sculpts have been developed over the years, including Ver.2, Ver.3, Ver.Splash and Wedding Ceremony Ver.

Is Naruto Gals a G.E.M. sub-range?

No. G.E.M. Series and Gals Series are two separate MegaHouse ranges. They are also listed separately in the manufacturer's official “High Quality Figure” classification.

Both collections can nevertheless include Naruto figures of comparable size and finish, which explains the confusion.

Are all Naruto Gals figures 1/8 scale?

No. MegaHouse does not present Naruto Gals as a collection governed by a uniform 1/8 scale. The manufacturer mainly provides the actual dimensions of each figure.

What is the difference between an original Naruto Gals figure and a Ver.2?

A Ver.2 represents a new interpretation of the character rather than simply another production run of the previous figure.

Hinata Ver.2, for example, depicts an older version of the character from the Shinden/Hiden stories, with a new appearance, pose and sculpt. Sakura Ver.2 likewise adopts her more mature appearance from this period.

The version number therefore distinguishes successive sculpts or interpretations of the same character.

What do Ver.Splash, Splash B and Wedding Ceremony Ver. mean?

Ver.Splash refers to figures depicting the characters in swimwear, inspired in particular by outfits seen in a Naruto Shippuden ending sequence. Tsunade Ver.Splash, for example, recreates her purple swimsuit.

The more recent Splash W and Splash B variants revisit the concept with new colours. Tsunade Splash W replaces the original purple swimsuit with a white version, while Hinata Splash B uses a navy-blue swimsuit instead of the orange colour of the previous version.

Wedding Ceremony Ver. depicts Hinata in the white wedding outfit seen at the end of Naruto Shippuden. It is therefore not simply a colour variant of a standard Hinata figure, but a representation of a specific appearance of the character.

Are reissued Naruto Gals identical to the first editions?

When a reference is simply announced as a reissue, MegaHouse uses the same figure and sculpt.

Minor differences related to a new production run or packaging may occur, but a reissue should not be confused with a Ver.2, Ver.3 or another deliberately different variant.
