Collectible figures by Exo-6
From a fan project to a Star Trek manufacturer
Founded by Schubert Tam, also known as Nanjin, EXO-6 grew out of his hobby of developing realistic Star Trek figures. The company's public launch was announced in January 2021 following a licensing agreement with ViacomCBS Consumer Products. Lieutenant Commander Data from Star Trek: First Contact was its first announced figure.
EXO-6 develops and manufactures its collectibles, combining in-house production with directly managed subcontracting. Its central focus is the recreation of Star Trek characters in 1:6 scale through its Museum Grade collection, an approach emphasising accurate character likenesses, detailed costumes and accessories based on their appearances on screen.
Museum Grade: articulated Star Trek figures in sixth scale
Museum Grade is the designation used by EXO-6 for its detailed 1/6-scale Star Trek collectibles. These approximately 30 cm figures combine articulated bodies with realistic actor likenesses, hand-painted portraits, tailored fabric uniforms and character-specific equipment. The collection is designed to reproduce the appearance of characters from Star Trek television series and films, with attention to costume construction, proportions and screen-accurate accessories.
The Captain Christopher Pike figure from Strange New Worlds illustrates this approach with a hand-painted portrait, more than 30 points of articulation and interchangeable hands. Its accessories include phasers and a communicator, accompanied by a transporter-style display base.
Depending on the release, EXO-6 offers Standard and Essential versions of selected characters. Essential editions generally include a reduced selection of accessories, while Standard editions may provide additional equipment, interchangeable parts or alternative costume elements.
Collections across Star Trek television and film
EXO-6's Museum Grade catalogue spans The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise, alongside Discovery, Picard and Strange New Worlds. Its film collections include Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek: First Contact.
The collection features Starfleet officers, alien characters and other figures from different periods of the Star Trek universe. Individual releases reproduce uniforms, hairstyles, equipment and accessories associated with specific appearances, allowing collectors to assemble displays representing particular crews, series or films.
Lower Decks statues and display replicas
Beyond its Museum Grade articulated figures, EXO-6 has produced Lower Decks statues of Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler and Badgey. Mariner and Boimler belong to the seven-inch range and feature interchangeable parts for different display poses. The accompanying Badgey statues stand approximately five inches tall.
The catalogue also includes sixth-scale display pieces such as the Enterprise-E captain's chair from First Contact. This prop replica features illuminated control panels and sounds from the film, and can be displayed independently or with the corresponding Captain Picard figure.
