This figure is based on the concept art created for Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the film in which Anakin Skywalker completes his transition from Jedi Knight to Darth Vader. Before the final on-screen transformation, concept artists explored darker costume designs to represent his descent into the dark side. This version depicts Anakin Skywalker in layered black robes with a dark reddish-purple lining, a visual direction associated with the Sith identity that the character was destined to assume. Hot Toys presents this design as an Artisan Edition in the Movie Masterpiece Series, with the product reference MMS882AE.

Head sculpt and articulation

The head sculpt reproduces the likeness of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker based on the concept art of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. It includes separate rolling eyeballs, a movie-accurate facial expression, a visible face scar, detailed skin texture, and dark brown mid-length slicked back curly hair implanted with wool material. Two pairs of interchangeable eyeballs are supplied to represent both the natural blue iris appearance and the Sith yellow iris appearance. The sixth scale body includes 30 points of articulation and measures approximately 31 cm in height.

The costume follows the concept artwork design with black layered garments, leather-like microfiber elements and a utility belt. The lightsaber equipment includes one white LED-lighted hilt powered by USB, one standard lightsaber hilt and several blade options for red and blue display configurations. The USB connecting cable is not included, and a USB-C cable is required for the lightsaber hilt light-up function.

Concept art costume and Sith visual direction

The costume design places Anakin Skywalker in an all-black outfit beneath a wire-embedded robe. The dark reddish-purple lining contrasts with the exterior robe and reflects the visual language associated with the character's fall to the dark side. The tabard, outer tunic, high collar under tunic, obi, utility belt, pants and long boots reproduce a darker alternate design while retaining elements connected to Jedi costume construction. The lightsaber options allow the figure to be displayed with red or blue blades, representing the contrast between the light side and the dark side of the Force in the character's narrative arc.
